IDOP 2016 Bologna - International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church

Tomorrow we'll have a joint service of five churches in the Bologna area for IDOP 2016,
the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church promoted by the  
World Evangelical Alliance
and Open Doors.

This year our church Impatto Budrio is organising the day. Stefano will preach in the morning from Mark 10:13-34 focusing on Jesus' words: "Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, who will not receive a hundredfold 
now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, 
with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life."

In the afternoon Justin will lead the prayer meeting,
in which we'll intercede for the World focusing on the
5 nations at the top of the World Watch List 2016:
North Korea, Iraq, Eritrea, Afghanistan and Syria.
These prayer points will be introduced by
Nuova Speranza church.

We'll intercede for Ghana where Muslims are agitating to have sharia established in the north of the country.
Marychris will explain the YfC Lighthouse for under-age asylum seekers in Bologna where they reach many of these migrants coming from Ghana.
These prayer points will be introduced by
Nuova Vita church.

We'll intercede for Pakistan where Christians are severely targeted by strict blasphemy laws.
Jenny will explain the MySpace club for kids in partnership with Budrio Social Workers where we are serving Muslim families including some from Pakistan.
These prayer points will be introduced by
Impatto Budrio church.

We'll intercede for Nigeria where Boko Haram threats to bomb churches and kill Christians.
Sergio will explain the Food Bank collection where the local church has served in 3 stores alongside 20 migrants from Nigeria hosted in San Lazzaro town.
These prayer points will be introduced by
San Lazzaro church.


Gianpaolo, pastor of Forte Torre church, will conclude this prayer time interceding with our brothers and sisters from the persecuted church worldwide and for those from these countries we are reaching out on our door steps!
